Funded by CARE International, the Progress organization implemented this project in (Amanat Al Asimah) during the month of March 2020. As the project aimed to provide livelihoods for the unemployed youth and women by training them to become trainers on solar cooker production, the project targeted 5 young men and 5 women as a first stage. The training was followed by the use of the solar cookers produced by the targeted people, as it showed great effectiveness in cooking that converged with the effectiveness of the cooker with domestic gas. The organization distributed comprehensive production tool kits for the beneficiaries at the end of the project to enable them to start their small income-generating projects, with the possibility of working as trainers for others. The number of indirect beneficiaries of the first phase of the project reached 1700 people in (Amanat Al Asimah).
